A poem comes with each bonnet explaining the bonnet is to be worn home from the hospital or on christening day and then, lovingly put away until that special wedding day. Then, as every well-dressed bride knows, she must have something old. The few little stitches can then be removed from the bonnet and will be used as a wedding hankie. On the back of the poem is a place to welcome the baby and write a special prayer from the heart. A matching ribbon is also included so the wedding hankie can be made back into a bonnet for the next generation.

Can you imagine sitting with your daughter or daughter-in-law with the bonnet she, or her husband-to-be once wore as a baby, clipping the stitches so it can be carried in her wedding?
